@poyanator All hostile encounters can not truly be 100% predictable.

For example F22 primary role is air-to-air with stealth approach. Berkut is multi-role.

@margav One major aspect, if there was an encounter between the two, would be which plane got detected first. As F22 carries missiles in an internal bay, it takes a very small period of time to activate them, while Berkut can fire once locked on.

But F22 imho is more stealthy, so thus there is a sort of stalemate, thus as I said it cannot truly be predicted unless you know all aspects of the event.

@Hatinonthehaters Maybe, but I hope that its more than just a innovative prototype. The second 5th gen military aircraft will be shown on the 2011 MAKS or MAX, don't how it is translated from Russian, airshow.

And if I remember correctly from the titbits it will be a jet fighter (not like the fighter/bomber hybrid of Berkut) with similar shape of the f-22.

@MrGAMESSSSSS It's not a pure jet fighter, its semi bomber capable of carrying larger missiles (if I remember correctly I read that one of the armament missiles has a 120km range).

Though as I don't have up to date information, this might have changed. Though at the time there were 2 other 5th gen. jets under development, one of which has made first public flights quiet recently.

yes but the most don't know how air combats function. F22 flies to object A 500km away. Radarstation tracks plane Perchora transfer the position to S-400 and it will be shot of range 400km away. planes concept of stealth function only when they fly horizontal. Radar sygnature will increase when it fly not horizontal. And no plane is Stealth. F117 was shot down at night from 40 year old system. The F117 and the B2 has "best" stealth system of usaf. its still useless against radars.

Is it that hard to do a Wikipedia search? This plane is simply a technology prototype, not a full-production product. And who cares which plane will win against each other? A SAM system are the biggest threat to planes. With those in the way, an F-22, Berkut, or PAK-FA will all go down in a fiery heap of metal.

Men that have been flying the F-16 for years can basically push the limits and wreck up the F-22. Yes I am American but I am actually european blood. I am doing the SU-47 for my model. But anyways, men that have been flying the F-16 for many many years know the limits of the F-16 and can literally destroy the pilots of the SU-47 and F-22 Raptor.
