  • Remember my friends this is only a sport. Bart Vale has even said this many many times. If it were "real" Bart being a Kenpo man would easily kill the other man.

Bart has also said on occasion "in real life, NEVER go to the groud". Forgive me if my memory of his quotes is off.

  • Bart is a bad dude and even if folks do not believe that shootfighting is a valid fighting system. If you think that your fighting system has been tested to the point ih Bart, put it to the test as he has.

  • Bart Vale fought a lot of worked fights. His technique is very poor compared to most grappling standards. still a tough guy though.

  • Bart is still a tough guy. At his current age he probably will not create a big fuss with some of these younger guys. I still will not fool with him...

  • This was the end of Vale's big time hopes imho. He was supposed to be the hero and dominate the competition. Instead he had a rough fight and ended up getting booed at the end.

  • Bart is still one of the Shootfighers out there and he has also done stuff in China that I am trying to get my hands on..

    Thanks for the comment.

  • RIP Mike Bitonio

  • @LardInATubeSock Bart was never the most talented fighter, but I agree he was one big, tough and strong dude. I've also heard from a reliable source, he's lied about his real age for many years and was actually something like 10 years older than he advertised.

  • i'm sorry but these guys don't weigh over 200lbs

  • bart was very lucky....this guy almost won....with all that musle and experiencehe should have finished it early....funny win

    looool

  • i train with Bart Vale

  • Bart is/was a joke

  • I remember this fight and the hype. Bart was suppose to eventually go on to fight Renzo, but injured himself during the first fight. The fight showed little to no technique by the 40 lbs. more Bart. Headbutts and he made a mess of himself. In Extreme Fighting 3, Bart lost by TKO to Kazunari Murakami, then the next legit MMA bout another TKO loss this time to Dan Severn in 36 secs. The K-1 fight to Andy Hug (non MMA fight) showed another loss. Bart seemed to do well on worked fights only.

  • @coolassjoker shootfighting is superior to jiu jitsu because shootfightin emphasizes more hard grappling in practice than does jiu jitsu, jiu jitsu guys are pretty much just robots all doing the samething, shootfighters are better wrestlers because they spend the whole time actually grappling hard getting their wrestling balance in their muscle memory.

  • @omar2000089 besides, one of the best judo men of japan was beaten in two out of three falls by a catch wrestler in the early 20th century, and other judo men were beaten by catch wrestlers, yeah catch borrowed a lotof moves from jiu jtsu, and judo, but the brute force and ground domination of catch and amatuer wrestling is superior to just plain jiu jitsu.

  • @omar2000089 historic catch wrestling was more wrestling oriented, but it did incorparate the double and top wristlock, and some neck cranks and the short arm siccors, the toe hold, achiles lock, and the differnt face locks...yeah you are right. But now look at what mainly wins in ufc, plain ole amatuer wrestling which is what catch was.
