2 Dwarf Chinese Hamsters Running on Their Wheel Together

We got 2 Dwarf Chinese Hamsters for Easter. These two female hamsters get along very well and can be found playing and snuggling like the best of friends as they sleep. Before we chose them, we did some reading and discovered that when raised together from a very young age these hamsters will live and play together very well. Unlike the more common Syrian or "Golden" hamsters that will normally fight to the death when put in the same cage, especially as adults. These little ones are so much fun to watch and play with. They are very curious and good with kids.

MainLineJolly, thanks for your comment. We did quite a bit of reading before we got these two. Just so you know, common Siberian "Golden" hamsters are know as adults to fight to the death when put in the same cage. But if you can get two like this, dwarf Chinese hamsters that are from the same litter or have at least been raised together as babies, and are of the same sex, they will actually get along quite well as ours do. They snuggle up when sleeping and have a great time playing togetheer.

yep, they do that. mine rarely run in sync though. they just seem to mess with each other. but they are still youngins so I guess its probably normal.
