I was playing as clockwork and made a bunch of crazy kill shots with Fireworks this game.

This one in particular - Morphling started running as soon as I hit him, so I had to wait for the cooldown. He was immediately in the fog (invisible to me) so I tracked with my mouse where I estimated he was, added some for the travel time of the shot, and fired. I was overjoyed when I got this kill! Probably the coolest thing I've ever done in Dota 2 so far.

If you want to watch the replay on Dota 2 yourself, click Watch - Recent Games - Filter for January 14, with "nub" as the name. This was in Match 3347013, at about 14:45 into the game.

Sorry for the buggy, low quality video. I tried recording at my native resolution but the 30-second video was 900MB. So I did it again with a much lower resolution and it's still 300MB but looks pretty bad :(

  • Too much wanna-be cinematic, and the shot itself wasn't that fantastic.

  • @Pendumish there was no wanna-be cinematic, just me struggling to figure out how best to show the shot.

but i do think it was a fantastic shot - across the map, 10 second delay, no vision!

  • @j0e2 The best way would be to just show it top-down, really. This was something that would appear in a James Bond movie before special effects. Rather see the actual rocket travel. Besides that, it was rather easy to predict, as you had just recently lost sight of him. Vision or not, unless hes trying something fancy (Such as leveling morph as any decent morphling would do, and go all STR) or evading in a special pattern, these things are easy to predict. Good shot nonetheless then.
