@boot17 But they are spoiled... When you don't have the money necessary to support this habit you can't get this "disease". Everything that is hard nowadays is a "disease" rather than a lack of moral character or a lack in proper temperance. We have effectively removed personal responsibilty in our society (see into the burglar who succesfully sued his victim because he fell through her skylight window). Stop relieving responsibility and enable proper charcter growth.

this episode was very sad, but i hate that it didn't do much to change people's opinions of the disease. a lot of people refuse to accept it as one. perhaps the examples they used in the episode weren't relateable enough. If they used someone who compulsively shops and hoards but isn't an asshole, it might have been more widely understood as a disease and not the result of being spoiled. too bad :(
