The Communications Program at Finlandia University

Finlandia's Communications major gives students an understanding of how people create meaning through different modes of communications. Courses provide an understanding of the human communication process, including the analysis, design, and production of effective messages. Communications courses emphasize all aspects of communications as students learn proficiency in persuasion, critical analysis, and oral, written, and visual communication.

Students majoring in Communications specialize in at least one of four areas: journalism, visual communications, environmental communications, and organizational communications.
