One of my favorite scenes and movies. The clip is from "For Me And My Gal" and is Gene Kelly's movie debut.

Yeah...and the 20's, 30's and 40's were signified by innocent and church-going type people right? Especially in Hollywood!?

@AOG93 I haven't heard anything about Judy ever sleeping around or being all about sex. Judy did abuse drugs because she was consistently making one movie after the other once she was signed with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer, which made for a hectic schedule and Judy, Mickey Rooney, and others were given amphetamines and barbiturates to "help" them perform.
Judy wasn't all about drugs. She couldn't help the drug addiction and it ended up being a lifelong struggle, ending in her death.

@miss9starr7 Yeah right. The Cold War, two World Wars, the constant terror of utter nuclear annihilation, people bashing up other people and hanging them from trees because of the colour of their skin. It was a real cake walk back then.

@ChicagoSouthDan Actually, on the computer, the song is fine, but when I try to play the video on my iPod touch, the song is something like "Sick as a dog"? It's really strange... :/

See there's REASON they call this stuff the golden age of Hollywood!!
It gives the film medium a sense of identity that cannot be matched in today's society. I mean seriously, can you see Taylor Lautner doing anything this magical? Let alone seeing a movie studio try to do something like this again?
This is where the 'magic' comes from. And as long as we can appreciate it, it will always be there for us :-) Like like like!!!
