The UK is baking in the summer heat - and in London, the Motor Show has started. Greenpeace have responded by producing an 'aspirational' advertisement, taking the piss out of traditional adverts that connect flashy 4x4s to the driver's identity and status.

Nobody's complaining about people who actually need 4x4s to do their work - it's the Chelsea Tractors on the 1 mile school run with 1 kid in the back that are the problem - people who use cars as fashion statments orpenis extensions...

So many people have a go at people who support greenpeace because "they fill peoples mind with crap." If you dont agree, that is fine, but get some fucking facts about your point of view first. Dont just comment "what a load of crap." Just bury your heads in the sand, because we wont see anything compared to what our children and their children are going to have to live through.

The reason the damage to the ozone layer hasn't been as bad as was warned is beacuse of the actions taken to prevent it from getting to that point. The banning of CFCs was one of the greatest victories of atmospheric chemistry affecting global emissions policy.

Brilliant. Sure you can say your SUV makes so little difference at the end of the day, if you fly a plane somewhere or so on. It's only 2mpg different...

Well if no one drove SUVs except those who do need them (not many), that will make a massive difference.

Or you believe global warming isn't proved? Well how about the simple benefits like better air quality in the city, or making the limited oil supply last longer? There's no denying oil is running out and causing problems.

At the end of the day cars produce less Co2 than planes, but because theres more planes than cars. Cars are then targeted by Green Peace. People have the right to buy what they want, just because you don't own one means you have to be critical of its emissions Green Peace!

Basically if someone from Greenpace ever goes on a plane they are hypocrites in the extreme, as you'll be creating as much pollution as that guy driving his SUV for a whole year.
