Where the Wild Things Are is a 2009 album by American guitarist Steve Vai. The album was recorded and filmed at the State Theatre in Minneapolis, MN as part of Vai's "Sound Theories" world tour. The 2 hour and 40 minute set contains several new tracks and re-orchestrated pieces culled from Vai's catalog. Steve Vai is joined on stage by Alex DePue (violin), Ann Marie Calhoun (violin), Bryan Beller (bass), Jeremy Colson (drums), Dave Weiner (guitar and sitar) and Zack Wiesinger (lap steel).

  • music cannot be learned. Music can be created.

Steve Vai is the perfect example. No matter how many books you have read, or how many songs you know. You can't find lessons on composing such a piece in any book.

There are no rules to follow, you compose with your heart.

  • Maybe he should have played this in crossroads!

  • @Broons2112Bane hes vibarating the strings to get the sustainer to work.vthe note first has to be hit or blown on for the sustainer to sart working at a low volume on a jem. but what he does on ftlog is just for show. he just uses the harmonic mode.

  • no se si me gusta, esta demasiado loco

  • Every time I have to wonder what is he doing when he blows into his guitar?

  • @rockostas and this song is mostly just "killing" the guitar but still sounds like a 100% harmony of notes which create awesome musics (:

  • This is art.

  • WTF !!?? wow

  • nice edit..
