  • I'm sorry to say but banning birds as pets is not good at all. In every pet shop ALL the animals are suffering. Not JUST birds. All it takes is the responsibility of the petshop to provide and educate, to question the customers if they are prepared for this and to enforce the laws with Police. But the government won't because it's too 'expensive' . Whatever happened to self discipline anyway?

  • They have wings. They need to fly free. We're a poor substitute for their wild families.

Get involved with a rescue organization & it will wake you up to the sad lives these poor, intelligent creatures live. Wallowing in filth, neglected, deprived.

They're so smart, they have mental illnesses and succumb to self mutilation.

Stop supporting breeders, adopt only. Give those in need - homes and stop adding to the problem buy buying birds.

You want to see these amazing animals? Get a plane ticket.

  • You cannot stake this on every bird owner. I mean, some do take proper care and proper housing for their birds.

People need to know, they need to be educated.

  • Why do these horrible things happen to the innocent of creatures?
