This video took me back to 7/29/2012 when I flew this plane during the EAA convention. This is my next plane. No FAA medical needed. This is how I plan my retirement. Fly with out hardly using a motor. It is a wonderful plane

So a motorglider can be flown at night? Do you need any special equipment or licensing for that?

Yes, the Phoenix can be flown at night if it has the required equipment for night flight, like this one does. A pilot can fly at night if he has the required night training and a private certificate (not a sport pilot certificate).
