Just poking my head in. I took my stylish updo down and put some large twists in my hair and put rods on the ends. Took them down this morning and this was the results. I loved my hair today. Protecting my hair these last few months has really improved the health of my hair. I cannot the deny the benefits of protective styles for my hair. I'm thinking the product build up in my hair helped give it weight and body, which is why my hair was moveable. My hair usually never moves like this.

  • @anewmeePassion Hey ladies, I will address my supposedly "changing texture" in a future vid. People think that if your hair is 4C your supposed to walk around with a shrunken nappy fro. And the as soon as you post a video of your hair looking remotely nice then its not 4C hair. We really need to break this train of thought in the natural hair community. As women with afro textured hair we are far to conditioned when it comes to the appearance of what a certain hair type should look like.

  • I think I know why people r asking about ur hair texture. I started watching your videos long ago becuase your hair texture reminded me of mine. it look like wire. no offense but i'm a 4c/4b and my hair looks like wire. but your hair no longer looks that way. it looks a lot healthier which is great. I don't think people think negatively about the way 4c hair should look but your hair does look a lot healthier from when I first started watching your video. i'm sure that's why people r asking.

  • i agree, mstanish...length and weight will change the size adn 'drop' of tye 4 curls. Also, proper moisture balance, products used,...as with any texture of hair. Wet twist outs look completely different than dry twist outs on stretched hair also. There is no real texture change with type 4 hair as much as changes in the way our hair behaves based on what we do to it. What there is, is lack of visual information on what to expect as it grows, so thank you for representing us!!

I hate the hair typing system and your hair is wonderful.

  • Stop using the Andre Walker system for natural afro hair! There is a new chart for black natural hair that is ten times way more accurate. It is the actual texture of the hair not the size of the curl, or pattern. It comes in categories combining density , shine with the texture not curl size. The types of hair are thready, cottony, spongy, silky. Using the new system, you will realize that diverse black hair and 4c/4b/4a/3c is pointless and just a curl size which isn't helpful.

  • Lookin good sis. I'm still fighting the moisture battle and not always hitting the mark, but your hair looks beautiful.

  • I forgot to mention your hair looks really healthy and moisturized - That's something I'm still working on; but you are doing a fabulous job.

  • Beautiful! Your hair has really grown a lot. Keep up the good work.

  • i love this- im releaxed, but this is absolutely stunning! I love the ombre ends too.

  • What did you use to do your twist out? GORG!!!

  • fabulous! nice growth also!
