Part I • Subaru STI Dyno test = 254whp • Automaster AMR

My 2006 STI as it was dropped off at the Automaster shop in Mamaroneck, NY. (www.automasterAMR.com) Baseline test as we upgrade components.

254whp / 262 wtq on Dyno Dynamics dyno.

This test had a 3" ABS exhaust back to the 2.5" OEM muffler (My choice; I wanted it quieter), Cobb programmable ECU, and a tune from another shop. Full stock air inlet. Very driveable, but I want more...

Larger turbo, exhaust header, injectors, Pump, inlet pipes, and more. I will post Part II and onward as we develop.

A bone stock Sti 04-07 has about 235 Wheel Horse Power. (whp)

Well..... Not on this dyno with a 1.0 correction factor. Rob's done enough of them to determine the standard on THIS dyno. This was how it came in and they improved upon this BIG time.

All this is old now, but it's still valid. I've long since changed components, and I'm up to 500whp on a dyno with 1.2 correction.

Yes, you are right--but at the flywheel, not at the wheels. Stock STI's are around 205hp at the wheels. All MFG's will use the flywheel number, while the actual HP is measured at the wheels. Coop

I have no idea where you got 205 HPat the wheels

Even on lower octane and heat they won't produce numbers that low.

254 peak whp is pretty good, I have seen some a little higher and a little lower

AWD parasitic loss is much greater than front or rear at about 20 to 25%

the enigne makes 300. but at the wheels is lower cuz of transmission and stuff.
