♥ Storyline: Princess Odette is introduced to Mozenrath, the kings new royal advisor and wizard. The young Princess is instantly attracted to the mysterious man. As the years progress (Mozenrath doesnt age), Princess Odette grows closer to the man, falling in love with him. He seems to be quite taken with her as well. While sitting in the garden, the princess tells Mozenrath how she feels about him. He returns the sentiments. Unbeknownst to both of them, the king is watching the progression from a short distance. The king isnt entirely too thrilled by this, and later corners Mozenrath telling him to stay away from the princess. The king has heard rumors of Mozenraths knowledge and usage of the forbidden arts. The king has refused to act upon these rumors until he has significant proof, but still he refuses to let Mozenrath see his daughter.
Mozenrath and Odette continue to see each other secretly, Princess Odette growing closer to the man.
After a while Mozenrath asks the princess to be his bride, and without hesitation she accepts. After the engagement however, Mozenrath becomes aggressive and abusive towards the princess. In a fit of anger after one fierce fight, he strikes her, and admits to her that the only reason hes marrying her is because he wants the throne. What he fails to tell her is that in spite of himself, hes fallen in love with her. In a fit of tears, Odette quickly runs away from the man. She confides to her father the truth about the man she intends to marry, and the king has him executed.
