Renowned New York City-based photographer Scott McDermott is responsible for the beautiful black-and-white photography that is the center of the Sports Center at Chelsea Piers "most inspiring gym" campaign. The concept for the campaign was created by Dana Thayer, Senior VP of Marketing, and Scott Schwartz, VP of Design, in 2009. Scott McDermott was eager to bring the print campaign to life through an edgy, high-energy film that featured Sports Center instructors and trainers. The 90-second film is both inspirational and aspirational; it starts with the moment of calm and preparation before competing or working out - to the explosive start and execution of a lift, a jab, a run, a climb ... the video is about finding the inspiration to work out, compete, and play at the Sports Center - New York City's most inspiring gym.
