@JetAce08 Still learning what it can do

@AgentJayZ wow that one is nice! bet ya can come up with all kinds of cool shots with that little thing

@docbipe The dyno uses hi temp waterproof grease, and the bearing normally used in the aircraft gearbox, in which the shaft turned by the starter turns, has been replaced here with a sealed industrial ball bearing.

@JetAce08 I looked at gopro, but didn't want that bulky thing on my head. So I went for a VIO POV HD.
I recommend it.

I like the head cam shot, cameras are fun to experiment with, check out GoPro, they have sweet water proof mini HD cams for sports and such

What gets used for bearing lube?

I will echo what matube73 said. Please keep them coming!
Let me understand...this is what is used to star large commercial airliner engines? I remember flying on a 707 in 1960, and the engine startup sounded much different then than does now.

@ROCKSTARCRANE This starter is smaller and less powerful than the ones used to start the big guys. It makes about half the torque of our radial inflow turbine starter... the one we use to start the J79. The civilian J79 was called the CJ805, and some early 707s did use that engine.
Take a look at some of my engine test videos for J79 or LM1500, and see if you recognize that sound...

Another excellent and interesting vid. The quality of your vids are improving and near broadcast quality as far as im concerned. The hat cam worked out really well. Is there going to be any updates on the huge Orenda? Cheers.

@matube73 The Orenda Iroquois is safe and dry. We are in the process of creating an organization under which it can be brought to life with volunteer labour. How would you feel about reconditioning some of its parts ?
