http://LadyTechTamer.com - This is video #2 covering flash audio players for Wordpress blogs. In this tutorial, I demonstrate how to use the WPAudio plugin to add audio to your Wordpress blog. This WPAudio plugin creates a small, contemporary flash audio player that looks great and is a real stand-out on a page!

  • Hi, Great video! Can you assist with with removing the download option from the code. Every tutorial says insert dl="0" but where in the code do I place it?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  • @KeAshaRogers The code for removing the download option needs to go inside the audio player, and rigt before the closing square bracket. Like this --

    [ wpaudio ..... dl="0"]

    Good luck!

  • HI - really hoping you can help(?) i have WPaudio and it works great but every time i click on Downland to save an mp3 it opens a different window and plays the MP3. How do i get it to open the "Save As" dialog box when i click on download? Other sites that have the plugin do that, But for some reason mine opens up another window. I have the option to "Convert all mp3 links" selected\enable.

    I Appreciate your help!

    Thx!

  • @astroneo99 Can you provide an example of a site that has this functionality?

  • @astroneo99 did you get this issue sorted out? It is happening to mine too and driving me crazy..

  • @misslaidlaw Hi there! I never heard back from astroneo99 to get an example of a site where this is happening. If it's still happening to you, will you send me the link and I'll see if I can't find a solution to the issue. :) Thanks!

  • @ladytechtamer Hi, do you know how to disable the download function when you're using the small "Convert all MP3 links" feature?

  • @TheRunningRealtor The WPAudio plugin is specifically an mp3 plugin, so it will not play wma (Windows Media Audio) formatted audios. wma is a proprietary format and is not "universal." If your audios are being created as wma, you'll need to first convert them to mp3 before playing them on your blog. This isn't hard to do ... there's a free program called Koyote that should do it. Just Google "Koyote Free mp3 WMA converter" and the CNet download page should be one of the first results.

    Good luck!

  • Hi Kasey!

What about if it is a wma file? I followed both of your tutorials and got it to look aesthically pleasing but neither play!
