@windswept2289 Actually he/she has a point. Nat King Cole's career was impeded because of attitudes at the time. He wasn't allowed to be in close physical contact with white guests on his show and people even sabotaged television wires when he was on so his ratings wouldn't be high. Sadly, colour has a lot to do with the popularity of some singers/artists...well not so much now but definitely before. MTV has been known to not play the videos of black artists in the past. Sad but true.
I first heard this record, Miss You, only a year ago or so ago, it was on a local radio station, bbc essex (uk). A man 84 yrs old had recently lost his wife and had requested it to be played in her memory.
Being a bit of a softie myself for sentimental ballads with words that have meaning I must admit tears were streaming down my face.
I was able to buy a copy and hav'nt stopped playing it since. Thanks for posting.
I mean this with the greatest respect towards ' Nat ' - But - For Your Consideration - If Nat King Cole had been Caucasian and not African-American, would he today be regarded Universally as the greatest pop singer of the 20th century ? Respectfully - Randy C Ford (arizonaranger)
Just a perfect voice and song...

Smooth as Silk - They simply don't build popular singers like Nat King Cole anymore - and that is an awful shame. - Thank You for a true GEM!
