The poor kid had finaly gotten clean, been clean for three years, offered a new recording contract finally, fond a new voice and ready to make a fresh start in music....but forced to go back to Harlem to do it. To celebrate he decided to shoot up for old times sake and overdosed in his grandmothers bathroom the night before he was supposed to go into the studio. Sad

@mattsblognet He was clean, he had gotten cleaned up after getting into trouble, forced into rehab. Went into the military and was discharged because he kept skipping out to perform small time gigs. He got his life back together and was offered a new contract and had to go to Harlem(where it all started) to start recording. He couldn't resist the urge and relapsed night before recording, od'd in his grandmothers bathroom
