Gas releases and refinery flareing is a common occurrence in the city of Port Arthur TX 77640. If one facility isn't dumping some thing in the air the other one is and because of this many have asthma and other breathing problems.

you people sure are fast to complain about them flaring to keep thier equipment running in properbounderies but im sure yall would be whining a whole lot more if these plants werent putting the gas to the gas stations or any other productsascociated with the petrochemical industry..............also those are vapors being burned off not pure product the more visable flame would imply that they are pushing it out quick meaning that it wouldnt have time to mix with oxygen to burn completely

If you understood what flaring dumps into the air you breath may be just may be you would be concerned also. Educate your self before being so passive on this issue or may be you don't live in this area so why would you care.

also!...........the part in your video about the gasoline in the drainage system in the plant.........these plants have a closed loop drainage system that all pass through a unit that seperates the hydrocarbons from the water and the process is closely monitored by the state

hey jackass......i live in nederland if you didnt catch my drift from my eirlier comments........it is the way it is if you dont like it then move or do something about it......unlike YOU who just makes videos and complains i will be attending college to study chemical engineering and my goal later in life is to find alternative energy solutions.........so maybe instead of just complaining you should actually do something about it

i live within 10 miles of 10 different refinerys i also happen to work in almost all of them due to my line of work........take a minute and think where most of your air polution comes from.......if your smart you will realize that more than 75% comes from the vehicals we all drive everyday now unless you ride a bike everywhere then you dont have much to say about that one......also most of the time when the flare is operating properly it is actually burning cleaner than your car

Let me shed a little light for you. In Philadelphia white people only make up 43% of the population. And if you are Irish, Italian, German or even Polish, then you are a minority from the point of view of a white anglo-saxon. If you are a minority then statistically speaking you have a strong chance of being poor. And if you are poor you will live with inconveniences such as refineries because, hey, what the hell else ya gonna do? Move to the 'burbs? But don't ask me - look up the demographics.

How in the bloody blue f**k did you not notice them building a refinery near your house? How many freaking YEARS did you have to make arrangements to move to another place? Did the Obama tell you where to live? I doubt it. Perhaps you stayed because you hadn't the money to move?
