Finally I got my doppolas, built to the specs of Gilmour's rotating speakers in the Pulse era.
They are just magic, instant Pulse tones.
I'm using two doppolas (one can't be seen in the video), hard panned and miked with SM58 and a fender amp (sound being mixed 50% the doppolas and 50% the fender amp), with some effects like delay.
I switched off the signal going to the doppolas from 0:07 to 0:10, so you can compare the sound with/without.

Here's another video with the fast setting:

In this video the two speakers version (like Gilmour's) is featured, but there are one-speaker-doppola versions available too.

  • Hello! I must admit these doppolas are just incredible, and perfect for a Floyd fan. I just got one question: Does the doppolas create any overdrive, when you strum harder? (Usually with vintage doppolas they would give a bit of drive when you would strum harder.

Anyway, it sounds awsome really like it!
