@robcaseyire And you get to look ignorant for the rest of yours, congrats!

@JWilliamson1987 Ok, your blocked. Have a nice life

@robcaseyire No, you do not know how the rule works. Read the Laws of the Game. "Handling the ball deliberately" is a direct free kick foul, NOT a cautionable offense. I explained this very clearly in my previous comment, which you must not have read. Again, you are incorrect in your interpretation of the rule (law).

@JWilliamson1987 I understood perfectly when a ref can book for a handball 2 years ago, & I still understand now. Not sure why you think I don't know how the rule works? Or why your replying 2 years later?

@robcaseyire Rob, I know this is two years old, but you cannot get booked for deliberately handling the ball. The offense itself is a direct free kick offense, but does not merit a card. However, if it is to gain a tactical advantage over the opponent (this is not) or to deny an obvious goal scoring opportunity (meaning the ball otherwise would have gone directly in the goal), it would be a send-off (red card) offense. Handling, itself, is not an offense that justifies booking.

As if Henry did not do that on purpose?
Both the ref and Thierry should be ashamed of themselves...
