Holden's Z06 Powered LS7 HSV W427

Holden Special Vehicles is celebrating its 20th anniversary by putting together a 7 liter 370-375kw Est. 500hp and 640nm torque know as the HSV W427. The W Stands for Walkinshaw. In 1988 Tom Walkinshaw joined up with Holden to create Group A VL SS Commodore, which set the tone for Australias performance division. W427 is finished in the same Panorama Silver paint as the Group A VL SS Commodore. The W427 will only come in exclusive numbers

Don't know if it's supposed to be me or andcom05 that works for Holden but GR your only real gripe is that it's that it's a Holden and your a Ford man. Your arguments don't stack up and are the sort of crap we have to put up with down at the pub in blighty. Shame I couldn't meet up with you on a race or kart track then the bullshit would stop. Oh and production vehicle is a vehicle made & sold in numbers to the general public. ie more than a prototype. But exclusive because they sold 200.

i am a massive ford supporter bbut i now belive that ford has given up. what i am saying is that the typhoon ute is nothing compared to the 2010 maloo nor is the falcon to the GTS. im sad to say this but ford has lost the battle really. unless the go crazy after seeing my comment and decide to put the Ford GT's V8 in one of there typhoon's or falcons otherwise they just aint as good as they used to be which saddens me

seriously a fail, I love holden I own a VX but not when they do this shit, seriously go buy a VE Clubby and pay 6k for a supercharger kit and get 50 more hp for 60 grand less.  This engine belongs in a Z06 that is where it shines and performs just look at it's Leman's track record, not to mention being almost 400 kilos lighter , you can tune it to 650rwhp with room to spare and spank anything on the road, btw halo sucks balls

I do welcome forced induction, on diesel engines. Even the biggest diesel engines need forced induction to make them drivable.

Put a turbo or a supercharger on a petrol engine, and drive it every day, you are asking for trouble. Cubic capacity is the only reliable way to get big horsepower out of a petrol engine.

No, increasing the bore diameter does not increase the compression if the combustion chamber capacity is also increased.

Forced induction is just a cheap, nasty and unsustainable substitute for cubic capacity.

"Chev" don't build any LS series engines. The LS engines are manufactured by GM corporation, not Chevrolet.
