  • how do you find making dnb with an mpc? im askin cos I produce dnb, and especially jungle and chopped up breaks, and am considering an mpc. seems to be used 99% for producing hiphop though. why is that?

  • @dachhh

It's one of the best tool I have ever had. I have many great gear, many samplers and synths, but the MPC is the greatest! The sampling is the core of the DnB!

  • thats just out of the box? get the fuck outta here, dude i need one, i am about to start making breakcore.. and i wanna find all the stuff i need to get, i am going to get a midi controller this weekend, dunno which one, any suggestions?

  • @FurryMouko

    Hi!

Depends on your needs, your software. It's hard to recommend something here, just go to the local musical store and check out yourself what will exactly fit your needs and value! Good luck!

  • yo this beat is fuckin sick,it got my speakers rumbling,i love it.keep doing what you do and keep bringing this hot shit,im grabbin a mpc 500.what software did you use?

  • @ontray42

  • @joostay From what I understand, he used samples, it doesn't actually synthesize the sounds. However, once you have the samples you can sequence an entire song in the MPC without software.

  • @dachhh unless you're a virtuoso on the pads (like encode here), sequencing complicated stuff, like jungle cut ups can be a bit long...

boom bap hip hop comes way more naturally.

in either case, MPCs are the BEST way to chop samples though...

  • Hang on. Seriously? Just to clarify, you made this entire tack just using this box? Holy shit, I have to get one of these.

  • I recognise them samples.

Its the pendulum sounds from NI synthetic drums pack.

  • yo my man you are unqine keep doing your style now i must buy me the mpc 500 now

  • this vid makes me want to buy one

  • @TheNonWho I can't comment on the use of presets, but, even if he has used pre recorded sounds from a sample CD it still goes to show that if he recorded those sounds with his own synths and created the drums from one shots then the same can still be done.

  • Great Song... Enjoy the Silence... WOW... Great
