ALCo RS-3 #605 at work in Upstate New York. Unit would run light this day from Greenwich to Greenwich Jct., N.Y., where it would pick up empty grain cars for shipment to Eagle Bridge. There, the 605 would pick up four loads and head back north. Video recorded with a professional broadcast television Sony Betacam in full stereo sound. Copyright 2004. Why do they need a derail on that line? Looks like you'd get it fro free with the quality of the track. ;-)
(Yeah, I know. Minor line that gets little traffic. I'm just being a wise ass. Great quality video -- thanks for posting.)

Who do they interchange with & where
MilwaukeeSDman 2 years ago
The BKRR interchanges with Pan Am Railways (formerly Guilford, Boston & Maine) and Canadian Pacific (formerly Delaware & Hudson) at Eagle Bridge, New York. CP operates from Mechanicville to Eagle Bridge via trackage rights on Pan Am.

The train doesn't run anymore, I live by the railroad tracks and haven't seen it in a long time. I kinda miss it, Grew up with it going by and in the winter when they had to stop to clear snow the workers and me would have snowball fights =D

Yes, that line still does run! They don't run on the far west end as often as they run between Eagle Bridge and Greenwich Jct. The short branch to Salem has been out of service for a while as there are no freight customers in Salem.
