There used to be a ride at the now closed Euclid Beach Park in Cleveland Ohio called the Rocket Ships. You would get in one of the rockets and go flying in circles held in only by some cables. Since the Park closed, they turned one of the Rockets into a car for driving.

I remember riding on the ride with the remaining three rocket ships at Geauga Lake. My parents would tell me about Euclid Beach while we rode. Now that park is closed too and I have my own story to tell.
