this is pretty much useless. since I dont store my stuff on C drive. and I dont believe any sane person would store all their stuff on C
unless theres a feature to searching all drives I'm missing?

i downloaded this google desktop search. what am i missing that it didn't find my file ?

I use this on my xp computer and is really useful as the xp search takes forever to search something simple ;)

I have over 100,000 files on my computer and they are all scattered in my documents, downloads, desktop, etc. Before Google Desktop it took me a long time to find anything and now I can instantly find whatever I need in less time that it would take me to open all the folders.

but windows vista has also a fast search engine.

You obviously don't own a Mac. They have a feature called spotlight. Once you get used to blazing fast searches, it is the only way to go. I hardly ever browse the folder structure anymore. If this does for a PC what spotlight does for a mac it will be a huge hit.
