Lead locomotive running traction only, trailing locomotive controlled by an extension cord through the rocky cars, providing traction and HEP (Hotel power).
Very odd train handling characteristics.

Why did it need 2 locomotives ( F40s) for only that many cars? Back up engine encase 1 fails or provide extra electricity to the cars?

that RDC on the tail is IRSI 6202 and was picked up at Sudbury.
