Skyrim - Alchemy/Speechcraft (speed levelling guide)

guide to speed levelling (grinding) alchemy and speechcraft. this is the best method ive found so far. also is a good way to make money if thats your priority (i did both in the video). the amount of experience gained in speechcraft and alchemy is wholly dependant on the value of the potion/ingredient that is being created/bought/sold. the success of this method is wholly dependant on the ratio of the price the potion is sold for to the price the ingredients are bought for. its got to be above the ratio of paid for to value paid for (which is determined by your speechcraft), preferably by several magnitudes at least.

its a lot easier if you have ingredients to start with + some gold. i tried doing this as soon as i "left the sewer" and it worked, just took a while to become profitable enough for me to afford to be clumsy and not bankrupt myself.

you can copy the extremely profitable recipes that i use in my video e.g. the one for slow, or you can guess (which might fail and waste the ingredients), or you can go on the uesp wiki and cheat to find the effects of the ingredients (when the skyrim section is more developed).

P.S. sorry the video is quite long, i didnt originally intend to upload it and re-rendering an edited one without all the 48 hour waiting on my laptop would take about 10 hours :( for the waiting, have something else to do while you wait. i was on my laptop for the minute of so for each cycle doing other things (like typing this.)

Waterbreathing (Chicken's Egg, Histcarp, Nordic Barnacle)
Invisibility (Chaurus Eggs, Crimson Nirnroot, Ice Wraith Teeth, Luna Moth Wing, Nirnroot, Vampire Dust)
Damage Magicka Regen (Bear Claws, Blue Butterfly Wing, Blue Mountain Flower, Chicken's Egg, Glow Dust, Hanging Moss, Human Heart, Jarrin Root, Nightshade, Spider Egg, Spriggan Sap)
Damage Stamina Regen (Creep Cluster, Daedra Heart, Frost Mirriam, Giant's Toe, Histcarp, Juniper Berries, Large Antlers, Silverside Perch, Skeever Tail, Wheat)
Fortify Carry Weight (Creep Cluster, Giant's Toe, Hawk Beak, River Betty, Scaly Pholiata, Wisp Wrappings)

EVERYONE: giants toe + wheat makes a potion worth 4k for me. probably 1000 for someone with very low alchemy. best potion ive found so far.

Thumbs this up so everyone can see!! Mathematically, you will get the most potions out of your ingredients if you combine the two ingredients with the greatest quantities. If they all have the same amount, it doesn't matter, but lets say you have 18 of ingredient a and 1 of ingredients b and c. Don't combine b and c; you'll only get one potion. Combine a and b and then a and c. You'll get two potions. Hope this was helpful.

Instead of waiting two days to reset, just save, kill the merchant, then load your save. This resets the merchant faster. Thumbs up so others will see pleasel

It helps to bring your wife as a follower. After two days, she gives you 200 gold and also the gold accumulates if you don't take it. It helps with funding and crafting for alchemy.

Instead of waiting for 24 hours: Save your game, kill her, then reload. That's if you're on the PC and have a faster loading time.

thats a good idea tho a bit to expensive for my taste tho killing her is a great idea but do you still get her money with new updates if so i wonder if the steal eqipped items from a master pickpocket can get the money with out killing her then i dont need the 3k as a down payment (also if you want to speed lvl pickpocketing just save before each atempt at grabing something and load if you get caught also you get points if say you put in his pocket 50 cabage and then take them back)

I don't think it actually has to be there. You can go anywhere and buy all their ingredients. I killed her anyway cos I wanted my money back after training for 3000 gold in alchemy. XD
