Obama Making Recess Appointments

President Barack Obama made some several appointments today, one of which was Richard Cordray to head the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Cenk Uygur discusses the Republican reaction to Obama making appointments during a pro forma Senate session. @spekonaspek The Constitution does not specify how long a recess must be before a president makes any appointments. The 11th Circut Court already ruled on this to King george Bush's favor. Now that it's used against them, the republicans cry foul? LOL Hipocrites is what the republicans are.

@acheybrenda NO Bush DID NOT do the same thing. You miss the whole point. In order to make a "Recess Appointment" the congress must be in RECESS. And because the house did not approve a recess they ARE NOT in recess, they were in a "pro forma session". In 2007 Harry Reid used the "pro forma sessions" to block Bush from making the recess appointment of Steven Bradbury. Now Harry Reid approved Obama doing what he blocked Bush from doing.

@DeathlyHurtt did you listen to this whole clip. When Bush was president he did the same thing to appoint a judge and it was taken to the supreme court who ruled that the president could do it. Now that the republicans are on the other side of it they are crying about it. Get over it!!!
