A journey into the land of peasoup screens, and beepy jingle ringtones. This Audiovox CDM-9150X Digital1x cell phone was made around 2000. It still works perfectly and the battery still holds an OK charge.

That's a strange one. It almost sounds like the Tandy 1000 3-voice sound chip. I guess this is halfway between the early single-voice beeper ringtones, and the later cheesy MIDI ringtones with percussion.

@vwestlife This phone reminded me of that too. I remember my mom bought this phone right around the same time my dad got an LG VX3100. My dad's phone had the single-voice beeper ringtones while the Audiovox had these unique ringtones. If I recall, this phone was made when they first started to do away with the older beeper ringtones.
