I agree with you. My point about oil is that it is more about oil than getting terrorists. And its more about oil than "bringing democracy" to anyone or the multitudes of other lies and excuses that have been stated about why we are there. If you look at how much money has passed hands to get TO the oil over there, it is obvious that a lot of it has to do with oil. The destroying a culture and people part has to do with gaining control of a land that is drenched in oil, IMHO.
