What I did was dearm the bomb, get 500 caps good speech lvl for a lvl2 eh?
Then I got everything I needed.
Heres the plan:
Start with the armory. Most of the time they dont notice you kill the sherrif in there. Take all the weapons. Go outiside. Then just go to the shop (4 got the name sumthing bout a crate xD) Start the book mission. Tell her about radio activness. And shell give you free stuff. Then kill her. Search her. Get her key. And you get all the stuff she has in her store for free.

To me, Megaton is priceless compared to anything. xD Free house, free cola, personal droid and a place to store guns, items, etc. And more when you want to. :P
