  • I have an '09 G8 GT. This car is totally awesome. G35s and 350Zs are no comparison. Althought the G8 is an automatic it effectively uses it's 6 gears to lay power down. Also, this car handles super tight with great suspension. Drive one and you'll see what I'm talking about.

  • for everyone arguing about putting the g8 on the track...research about the g8. its known as such a great muscle car cause it has the good handling to go with it. it has near perfect 50/50 weight distribution, great suspension system throught out, and goes through the slalom at 66 mph with little body roll.

  • @ARMONI555 The motor is american, The VE commodore (aka, G8) is australian made.

  • @nitrousninja1 its american

  • @IrishChris1979 G35's can hook off the line though(hr-series sedan), go to dragtimes . com. They cran run 60' times under 2 seconds because they don't have any issue with wheelspin because they don't have over whelming torque. But eventually the G8 will catch up and pass any G.

  • @98MAzdaMilleniaS Ran out of room... Now in another magazine the G8 GT ran it's worst numbers which was a 13.7 @ 103.9 so it really depends on the track, conditions, altitude, temp, driver skill ect ect. It's definitely a close race, no doubt about it.

  • @98MAzdaMilleniaS

Yeah it's fairly close. The G8 GT is a little quicker though. G8 GT runs 13.5-13.6 @ 105 and the G35S 5AT runs 13.8-13.9 @ 101-102 and the G35S 6MT runs 13.7 @ 103 & the G35X ran 14.0 @ 100 according to my magazine collections. I have every magazine since 1966 when my father started collecting them. These are just mag numbers though, they just give a basic idea of what the car is capable of. Real world is what really counts. Both cars are very quick for the $.

  • @rolintt Actually it would be a close match between a stock 2007-2008 G35 sedan and a stock G8 GT, do some research real quick before you go into a rage frenzy. ;) They run solid 13 second 1/4 miles, go to dragtimes . com where real owners post up timeslips. The G35 is traps about 1 mph less and is about .2 slower through the 1/4. Not bad considering it's a N/A 3.5 liter V6 sedan versus a 6.0 liter V8 sedan.

  • Us aussies have finally made a decent car

  • @onebadg8 you knew what I meant. Some are better at than others.

  • I traded my 370z in for a g8 gt. and dont regret it. both are sharp cars. stock for stock my 370z would have beat my g8 gt. but a tune alone puts the g8's in bottom 13's and few cars sound better than the 6.0 l76. some people get confused and think its an ls2 which it is not. though very similiar. it shares the heads from the ls9 2008+ vette engines. where the GTO's still have the norm ls2 heads. its why the g8 put down more power bolton for bolton after a tune.

  • @iJustDontGiveAShit i trade din my 370z for a g8 gt ;) though my Z was quicker stock for stock. tthe 370z like the 350z hits a serious wall with mods. its either save 10K for a functional long lasting turbo setup or get raped by bolton v8 cars sadly. and even the TT 370z are only pushing 500rwhp. which is good for 3300lbs adding in the turbo weight. but they like 350z only produce 350tq.. kills them in dragraces
