I watched this yesterday on my dvd. Even now, I can still say this is the best open wheel race i've ever seen. By the way, Tony George, you're an arsehole! - This is what you've taken from all of us!

@atjays What we got after the George / Penski dick measuring contest was a corporate run side show, with F-1 non-hackers and publicity stunts instead of drivers (with a few exceptions). To get this type of racing back, we need to whole-sale clear out the current Indycar management, put it back in the hands of teams and put the best stars of American, Canadian and South American oval series behind the wheel (drivers who drive their hearts out every weekend to get to this level).

Dick move by the biggest dickhead in racing, Robby Gordon. You can see him starting at 1:30 just pushing Villeneuve off the track, squeezing him out at the corner so they both go wide. Man I used to hate that guy, seeing this video just proves it again after so many years.

GregJM24 - You're completely having a laugh. Tony George turned a competitive sporting series for manufacturers and drivers into a jumped up F3 one make chassis/one make engine competition. IRL is a disgrace to motorsport.

@weallfollowmanutd Tony George helped make American open-wheel racing competitive again. Races in the IRL were the most exciting in the history of the sport. But, yes, this was a great race.
