Diversity Conference is a one-day events in which over 100 area high-school students learn leadership and advocacy skills. Diversity is designed to allow students to explore differences such as gender, race, culture, and disability to become more tolerant of each other's differences and gain respect for individuality.
North Texas Youth Connection, formerly Grayson County Juvenile Alternatives, is a private 501(c)3 nonprofit, founded in 1979 to address the needs of runaway and homeless youth. Through free crisis intervention counseling services for youth, short-term emergency youth shelter, transitional housing and prevention programs, NTYC tion helps youth and families get through crisis situations, learn new skills and build on their strengths in order to be a strong, healthy family and help youth become and remain successful.
