In the Waterloo Public Schools...
I discovered a passion for learning. This passion developed because my teachers encouraged me to aim for excellence in everything that I tried to accomplish. These valuable life skills were fostered by highly trained and motivated teachers who worked diligently to help me become better, even when I didn't believe that I could.

In the Waterloo Public Schools...
I discovered my self-confidence. I walked the halls of Kittrell, Hoover, and West High with pride because I was provided me with the necessary tools to become a responsible adolescent and mature young adult. I learned about math, science, history, art, and literature. This rounded education helped me become more culturally competent and sensitive to the diversity around me. I learned about multi-tasking, time management, etiquette, patience, and self-discipline. This is where I made some of my closest friendships that have lasted to this day.

In the Waterloo Public Schools...
I discovered how to balance creativity with organization and logic. I developed higher order thinking skills that have helped me shape my approach to my current profession. I am just one of the many students who acquired these valuable life skills...
