The Islamic Seminar 'Imam Jafar ul Sadeq and the Cause for Unity', was kindly hosted by Hyderi Masjid (London) on the 25th October on the anniverssary of the death of Imam Jafar ul Sadeq (ra) - the intellectual founder of all Islamic Schools of thought. Talk given by Abdullah and moderated by internationally acclaimed Shia lecturer, Ammar Nakshawani.

In order to achieve unity between Sunni and Shia, both have to compromise, or one has to completely dissolve itself. That is the only way. I meet many people who want Islamic unity, but are not willing to compromise their views.

Goddamn look at the flimsy justifications they have for calling us Kaffir, yet they count Abu Sufian and Muawiya as Sahabas, of all people. And narrate hadith from them, which is preposterous.

Shia today has turned into a derogatory term thanks to you "Sunnis". The correct term for Shias are Muslims. They are Sunnis, their math'hab is called Ja'afari, named after Imam Ja'afar Assadeq. And yes we also use the term Shia of Imam Ali, just like you according to your own logic are a Shia to Abu Bakr and omar. But despite all that I've said we have to live with your ignorance.
