Renovating a 100 year old log cabin with my family and friends, using traditional building methods and hand tools. It has been restored in 3 months.

  • Whats the song thats playing in this video?

  • @richiebraz Hi. It is performed by Devics and the song is called "A secret message to you"

  • Beautiful little video and perfect editing.

You must have a great spirit to focus the really good and important things in life.

    Thank for the sharing.

  • @1world1blood Hi. Thaknks for kind words. Jacob

  • Good job! What is the size of the cabin? I don´t know, what are the biggest logs, I can handle on my own.

  • @2pudink

    Thanks for good words.

The size of the cabin is 3.5 x 5.5 meters. The biggest logs were 25 cm in diameter (from the the thinner part of the log). It is possible to handle so huge log with your own hands if you are at minimum 2 strong men, but easier is to handle it by three men power.

  • Hi, is that a masonry or Russian stove? Can't tell in the video. If so, more info would be appreciated on where you learned the plans for it. Amazing cabin building. Looks like you have very skilful teachers.

  • Nice and beautiful job... my dream... some day...

  • Got a bit tearful there...

Hope that's not an omen for 2012

    Beautiful film.

  • very nice and perfect editing.:)

  • hey ... great job... any worries about moisture leakage with the application of a wood frame and stone facing exterior foundation...? I take that this is a very small crawl space.. I have a cabin I sleep in every nite above the mill I live and play in by day.. best place to sleep over the creek and just me and the coyotes and the birds..

  • i understand awesome

  • Excellent work. Very beautiful.

  • Right on
