Being Erskine's finest surrealist hardcore band wasn't really much of an achievement in 1988, considering Erskine was just a field beside a shopping centre then.
But then they built a bridge, the 23 bus started going through/past Erskine, the Stretchheads namedropped the Butthole Surfers in an interview and in late 1989 I smoked a weird pipe with them in Paisley.
