MVP baseball Hall of Famer Jimmy Rollins of the Philadelphia Phillies and trainer to the 'stars' Aaron Sistrunck discuss how to do resisted starts. ""Going back to the contrasting thing, giving the resistance and then taken the resistance away, so that the athletes just builts a little bit more in the hamstring and the glutes. Basically is to learn how the fire the exercise muscles in the glutes and the hamstrings, becasue a lot of athletes are quite dominant and what we want to do is reverse that a little bit. That's actually how you accelerate by using your glutes and hamstrings. So you kind of want to strengthen them up by pulling the bands."" ""When you are pulling he is holding you up, if he was to let you go at that point, you would just go down to the ground. But he is trying to get back underneath you and let you accelerate now when the lets you go and you got to run back that's the tough part because your legs got through pulling, and now they have nothing to pull, and they just want to roll over and you have the tendency to want to tumble.""
