Special work of tape artist No Curves for tesa

2011 is the year of tesa. 75 years ago, in 1936, the tesafilm® was born -- and with it the tesa brand as it is known today. tesa decided to celebrate this great anniversary with a special event : a big birthday party in Hamburg (Germany), where all started.

A great event gathered many of the people that helped tesa to create its great history of creativity, technology and passion. Therefore, tesa asked the leading tape artist No Curves, from Milan (Italy), to be part of the family: he played an important role by creating some extraordinary ingredients for this successful event.

He first built up a 3.40 by 3.20-meter Greeting Wall which had to be completed by the guests. The clue: the rolls were placed perpendicular to the wall, which created an unusual 3D view.

The second part of the work of No Curves was a game area. It was similar to a classic hoopla game. The guest had to throw tape rolls into one of the 550 poles that formed an enormous "75". Successful throwers were awarded a limited-edition tape roll designed by No Curves.

The whole creation and realization of this installation were covered by the mate team of the artist, the video maker Fabio Bozzetto and the photographer Daniele Mari, also from Milan.

2011 ist das Jahr von tesa. Vor 75 Jahren, im Jahre 1936, wurde der tesafilm® geboren - und mit ihm die Marke tesa wie sie heute bekannt ist. Im April wurde dieses besondere Jubiläum groß gefeiert -- unterstützt vom führende Tape-Art-Künstler No Curves aus Mailand (Italien).
No Curves Installation bestand aus zwei Teilen. Er kreierte zunächst eine 3,40 mal 3,20 Meter große "Greeting Wall", die von den Gästen mit Klebebandrollen vervollständigt werden musste. Das Besondere dabei: die Rollen wurden senkrecht an der Wand befestigt, so dass ein ungewöhnliches dreidimensionales Objekt entstand.

Der zweite Teil seines Werkes nannte No Curves "Game Area". Es funktionierte ähnlich wie ein klassischen Ringewerfen-Spiel. Die Gäste konnten mit Klebebandrollen versuchen, diese über einen von 550 Stäben zu werfen. Die Stäbe bildeten eine große "75". Erfolgreiche Werfer erhielten zur Belohnung eine limitierte Klebebandrolle - gestaltet von No Curves.

Die komplette Realisation und der gesamte Abend wurden vom Videomacher Fabio Bozzetto und dem Fotografen Daniele Mari begleitet - beide ebenfalls aus Mailand.
