  • Yes you are right, part of the wire came out. I simply glued this in with a little clear epoxy.

Also if the plastic is cracking as you are cutting, you have what we call "snappers". This is plastic that is older and tends to "dry out". Sometimes you can bring the spring back into the plastic by heating it on a griddle and then allowing it to cool on it's own. Sometimes it works - sometimes not, but worth a try. This kind of plastic is still okay to use for fusing

  • I am new to Friendly Plastic, so far have really enjoyed working with it. Linda I noticed in the video that when you went to cut out the large part of the wing, that the wire came off of the plastic. What is the remedy for this? I have also found that cutting the plastic makes it crack. Is there something I am doing wrong? I have bought new sharp scissors but this did not help.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful work.

  • Beautiful work! I'm digging through my stash now looking for FP from years ago.

  • Great! I think it would be be helpful to add that E6000 is toxic (unlike friendly plastic), so it's impt. to have good ventilation.

  • Beautiful I am so glad this stuff has made a comeback. I hope they put it in our local stores soon.
