Ahhh man I swear, RIP JIM BOWIE!!! What a great man he was, He was going through a lot when he was alive, Jason Patric is an amazing actor..I think he fit right for the part of Jim Bowie!! "He Is already dead and this Is the place he has been sent." Damn hearing that makes me tear up! Am glad I learned about him and the rest of our Texan Hero's!! "He is already dead, and this is the place he has been sent." Each time I hear that line, I get chills up my spine and goosebumps. Rest in peace Jim Bowie!!!!

I was in Hollywood and saw this at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre- a very deep & touching moment when he is being healed, how he sees his wife again when the camera turns around Bowie's head like that - like it's touched off from some vision in his illness. The music just intensifies it - great scene though. I found quite a few strange similarities between William Barret Travis & myself, being specifically named after him. Even was on a long trip and wound up at the Alamo somehow on my birthday.

I love hispanic people, grew up with them, please stop the contempt some of you..they are generally a good people - hard working with a good spirit. Americans come from everywhere in the world, so hard to classify one. You know where Gringo came from? the word came about when the U.S. military was down in Mexico and they were dressed in their BDU's; you know, the green camo - well they basically said to them, "Green, go", didn't want them there. It just became "Gringo".

"By Hercules! The man was greater than Caesar or Cromwell - nay, nearly equal to Odin or Thor! The Texans ought to build an altar to Jim Bowie!" Thomas Carlyle, upon hearing of the exploits of Jim Bowie as related by Theodore Parker

Powerful scene. Jim Bowie kisses his soulmate. A beautiful woman he loved and he will be rejoined with her.
