You have to save one bombchu to access the boss, but other than that you can basically skip the entire temple. I think you can skip bombs altogether.

That's because you're not supposed to have Bombchuus here. This guy got BOmbchuus by exploiting glitches by going to the Spirit Temple as a child without becoming an adult by getting past Gerudu's fortress using the Chicken glitch, and getting the Bombchuus there. Doing that, You're able to skip nearly half of Dodongo's cavern.

The second one is really hard to get I goto the other side, because its easier.
