  • I am from Wakefield and i went to see these get blown down its a shame really because they was a standing reminder as to Sheffields past R.I.P The Tinsley Two

    I'm not entirely sure of my feelings for the towers (or the lack of). I wonder how many of the 75,000 drivers who pass every day will notice them gone ?

  • Interesting viewpoints and video.

    However as someone who was born and grew up to adulthood in Sheffield I can assure you that I have never once heard a single 'local' call these the Salt and Pepper pots of Tinsley, they were always known as the tinsley cooling towers!

    Or Hideous monstrosities, I doubt they'll be sorely missed by most.
