You morons should check out the Home Page for Star Trek Phase II. These were fans who began making their own internet series many years ago. They pay all the production costs out of their own pockets (or, at least, they did) and so gained respect that Walter Koenig and George Takei among others have done episodes for them . I can't post a link here youTube won't let me...but check out the finished work at Star Trek Phase II. It is quite respectable.

...I've been a fan of ST Phase II for a couple years now. These people do seriously excellent work. They stay within the confines of classic Star Trek using amazing props, character acting nuances and traditional-like episode plots. They actually make classic Star Trek more classy. Bravo to them and thiers!...
