Jack Bauer is one of the greatest fictional characters of all time! He's a caring friend and father, he'll do what it takes to save innocent lives and save his country even if it's bad for him, and even though he can be brutal when interrogating and holds grudges and executes vengeance[those actually add to him being a complex and notable figure] you still find him likable oh and he's an unstoppable powerhouse that can obliterate anything and anyone!

only seen first 5 seasons...

Favorite - Season 5 because it was so exciting all the way through with not one filler episode and a very exciting plot.

Season 2 is my 2nd favorite because it had amazing storylines and was also very exciting throughout the entire thing.

Next is Season 4. Good beginning, week mid-point, but great 2nd half and the China storyline was awesome.

Then Season 1 because it was the beginning and the introduction.

Least fav - Season 3 because of many serious plot holes.

Season 5 - A classic example of writers subtly transposing arab 'patsy' terrorists for Russian 'patsy' terrorists. Clever stuff, a small change in the protagonists and you've got the 9 11 events without it being obvious.

@msinclair1991 Jack was doing what had to be done. Al asad was willing to help stop fayed, Curtis wanted to extract revenge without concern of the fallout and numerous innocent lives that would be lost without al asad's help. Any half decent human woulda shot curtis if it meant saving thousands if not millions.
