  • Great vid and instructions...I'm planning on doing this with my saturday morning breakfast. My girlfriend is excited..I spoil her with my cooking..(lol)....FYI tip for viewers if using a glass as a cutter.. Dip glass on a little flour and then cut into dough....helps the cutting and lifting ut a little easier.... I'll update you with my saturday morning results..."Wish me luck"

  • @dmoney311 Thank you for watching! I hope these came out perfect for you! Thanks for the tip!

  • @pastryparrot1 UPDATE: I made the biscuits this past weekend and they came out as expected..YUMMY !!!!!,,,, I also put some grated parmesan cheese on the top of a few as I placed them in the oven..But I think this weekend I'll actually add some aged cheddar cheese into the dough mixture..Thanks again for the vids..

  • @dmoney311 Yay! I am so happy to hear this. I love the cheese addition! Awesome! Thanks for letting me know!

  • @chumboy87 Thank you for coming by. These biscuits are actually perfect. They are flaky and moist. Rather than base your opinion on looks how about you read the comments of people who actually made these. Have a great week.

  • @pastryparrot1 No problemmo, We can't get biscuits in the UK, no supermarkets sell them (not even "make your own" kits) fast food chains like McDonalds and KFC don't either, so I have to make them myself :(

Buttermilk is a bit of a nightmare to get here too, I've substituted it with regular milk and it's come out fine!

  • @Emdooey I am so sorry for taking so long in replying! I agree with both of the suggestions you got. Thank you for watching!

  • @Violette1755 I am so sorry I took so long in replying! Thank you for stopping by. I agree with @sazji. Try the baking powder and some self-rising flour. Tale care!

  • @Beachangel1221 Good biscuit flour is available in the North, at least in Manhattan. Its not a matter that they don't have access its that they don't have a tradition of these recipes passed down. Its the same in the South for good Italian. It is near impossible to get good and authentic Italian here because the tradition doesn't exist here.

Anyway, this conversation won't solve anything. I stand by my original opinion and I'm sure you'll stand by yours.
