The Faerie Village can be a REALLY useful side quest! You can use it to get some of the best equipment in the game and early in the story too! In this video, I attempted show how I raise my Faerie village from the ground up!
=======
Starting out: Build CULTURE LEVEL first and make sure that you have 40% of your village HUNTING! The culture level will make the village grow faster. To make your village grow, you need to do one of 2 things, advance the story line, or fight battles (running away counts as a "fought" battle). Building a culture level to 7 (max level), your village will grow every 5 to 10 battles. Having a good amount of faeries hunting (40% -- 50% of population) will net faerie births! So focus on these first!
After growing and gaining culture level, start clearing land so that you can build more rooms! IMPORTANT: after clearing land, build rooms, after building rooms, clear land...I know this seems silly to explain however this is a common mistake. If you talk to a faerie and they say something like "We can't build any more!" you know you need to switch to clear. While clearing land, change your "Culture" scholar to a "Job" scholar to improve on your jobs. Rinse and repeat, and you can't go wrong!
After you have a full fledged village, set out your jobs and reap what you sew! Remember to keep about 35% of your faerie village hunting though! If you see the "food" icon below 99, it means that your faeries are eating more than you're hunting...at 20 faeries, I keep about 8 hunting. Here are some of the jobs that are really good for building up your team...the other jobs (casino, inn, fortune, etc.) are primarily for fun.
=======
Merchant...the best merchant (in my opinion) is "weapon/ability"...I showcase in the video why. The other merchants can net you good things as well however it takes a long time (many battles) for this job to build up and get strong items. DO NOT SWITCH FAERIES OUT ONCE YOU HAVE MADE A MERCHANT! Doing so will practically ERASE all the merchandise the current faeries has obtained, and you will have to start over again.
Copy...self explanatory. SAVE BEFORE ENTERING THE FAERIE REALM! If your copy was not successful, reload and try again!
Explore...once again, self explanatory. SAVE BEFORE ENTERING THE FAERIE REALM! There will be times where the faerie you sent out will have DIED during exploration! Save before to make sure this doesn't happen. Faerie alive and came back good? SAVE STATE AGAIN BEFORE TALKING TO HER! The exploration nets the BEST items BY FAR in the faerie village. Load states to pick and choose what item you want!
Gift Shop...My favorite job! Use this job to MAX OUT STATS! Upon opening a gift shop, the item you receive will be dependent on the amount of battles you have fought (or ran away from). For example. After opening a gift shop, leave and fight EXACTLY 7 battles...come back and talk to the Faerie...TA DA! You have been granted one fish head! Sound good? Think of 3 faeries doing this for you...no wait...think of 3 faeries, in 3 ROOMS doing this for you (9 fish heads)! Here are some numbers that you should know:
7 battles = fish head (intelligence +1)
31 -- 40 battles = Life shard (HP +1)
41 -- 50 battles = Magic shard (AP +1)
51 -- 60 battles = Power food (power +1)
61 -- 70 battles = Protein (defense +1)
71 -- 76 battles = Swallow eye (agility +1)
One question: how can faeires grow up in number/reproducts? I mean, when i first organize the jobs with the 3 faeires i had, one was hunting, one was clearing and one was leveling up culture; but when i return, the faerie that was clearing died and now i'm stucked with only 2 faeries and no birth :(

Actually if you play the Numbers game, you could win a Light Bangle, which negates all Ailments. Kind of useful later on when fighting a certain boss in a later dungeon.

So, you have to do exactly twenty battles for an item to be copied. Is that correct?
I have now put three faries into the copy shop which are coping at different times to reduce the fallure rate.
